Vepric is a holy shrine very close to Makarska. It was founded in 1908 by Bishop Dr. Juraj Carić, who is also buried in Vepric.
It is reminiscent of the French shrine at Lourdes, and is highly visited the whole year round because of its natural beauty which surrounds the sanctuary, such as the caves and the streams which flow through the shrine as well as the hill that surrounds it.
